The Wild Atlantic Way Audax (WAWA) is a 2,100 km brevet run by Audax Ireland under the rules of Audax Club Parisien and Les Randonneurs Mondiaux.
The next event will be held in summer 2020.
Riders will have a total 175 hours (elapsed) to complete the WAWA with an average of 12 kmph.
Riders are asked to note that it will be a traditional audax-style event. They will need to obtain "proof of passage" from a variety of commercial and information controls along the way. However, their journey will also be broken at roughly 300 km intervals with accommodation providing shelter and a place to rest.
These shelters will stay open between specified times to facilitate those travelling at an average speed.
The final control in Derry will remain open until the official event clock stops after seven days and seven hours.
