When Can I enter?
Entries are now now closed, but do make contact for placement on a reserve list or to express interest.
How much does it cost?
€325.
Is there a limit to the number of riders?
We are expecting to cater for up to 50 riders but will try to extend this if necessary.
As it is now oversubcrbed we are operating a reserve list

2 bag drops,
Live tracking,
GPS route,
Optional shelter controls along route at 300km intervals (limited opening times), these will be open for riders who are averaging 300km a day (or so) for sleep

Where can I stay?
Accommodation details for Cork, Kinsale and Derry will be posted. Accommodation at the start and finish is not included in the price.
Limited accommodation along the way at approximately 300km intervals offering sleep facilities.
These will not be opened for the full control duration but timed to suit “full value” riders i.e. those covering approximately 300km per day.
If you are booking your accomodation, we recomend that you stay in Failte Ireland approved premisses.
Finish Accomodation/venue
Accommodation in Derry can be booked trough Tanya http://www.ionainn.com . This is the venue for food shower and presentations . If accommodation can't be got here Tanya will put you in contact with a nearby b+b ,hotels etc.
Foyle cc will do there upmost to look after your needs from the presentation your bike and a van to escort you to your booked accommodation in Derry.
How do I get to start/finish?
For start – nearest airports are Cork and Dublin.
For finish – nearest airports are Derry, Belfast.

We are looking into providing luggage transport from Cork to Derry (additional fee) by courier. We are researching this at present as riders may want to fly out from Belfast or Dublin.
UPDATE
Foyle CC will be arranging to get bike boxes and bags etc. transported from the start at Kindle Co Cork to the finish in Derry where everything will be waiting for you the cost will avail a small charge of 25 euro (SUBJECT TO MINIMUM DEMAND) but please advise (book) us beforehand what you need transported ( bike box and bag or just bag etc.) if you message Edward Nealon we will make your arrangements. It is not a cost per item only per person so we know what size of vehicle to bring
The 25euro is based on minimum 30 riders .
If a total of more than 30 are interested the fee will be reduced.
Public transport leaves Derry city throughout the day.
Are there bag drops?
Two at roughly 600km and 1500km. These will be available to all riders.
What controls are there?
Most controls will not be manned.
We are organising limited accommodation at roughly 300km intervals. Opening times for these are based around the "full value” rider i.e. those covering 300-400km a day.
Outside manned hours will be by commercial controls, postcards etc. as allowed under the rules of ACP.
Additionally riders will be required to carry live tracking devices.
Insurance
Riders who are not currently members of Cycling Ireland must arrange adequate insurance for the duration of the ride.

Any qualification requirements?
Entry is at the discretion of the organiser.
To have a realistic prospect of completing the event within the specified times, riders should have already undertaken other long distance events of 1,000 km or more such as PBP, Mille Miglia, Mille Cymru, Mile Fáilte, LEL, Celtic Knot or Mille Alba.
Please provide details of qualifying events on your entry form.
Please note that WAWA is a 2000 km + event with circa 20000 m of climbing and therefore likely to challenge your limits more than any ride before.
